Togo to fight banAFRICA: Togo plans to fight its suspension from the next two editions of the African Cup of Nations after its national team withdrew from last month's tournament in Angola following a deadly attack on the team bus. Government spokesman Pascal Bodjona has described the Confederation of African Football ruling as "insulting", adding that "Togo will use all available legal means to fight the decision". Togo captain Emmanuel Adebayor called the decision "monstrous". Egypt beat Ghana 1-0 in the cup final on Sunday.Sunderland strugglesENGLAND: Sunderland has failed to halt its slide towards the relegation zone after Stoke claimed a deserved point in an uninspiring goalless stalemate. The draw meant Steve Bruce's side, which started the season in such promising fashion that it was tipped as a contender for Europe, has won once in the past 14 league matches to be just four points above the bottom three.Capello to decide on TerryENGLAND: National coach Fabio Capello alone will decide whether John Terry keeps his job as captain of England. The Football Association said Capello had spoken with the body's chairman and chief executive and been given free rein to decide whether to stick with Terry in the wake of allegations about his private life. Terry's future has been under scrutiny since allegations surfaced of an affair between the married Chelsea defender and the then partner of England teammate Wayne Bridge.Big welcome for RobinhoBRAZIL: Robinho was presented as a Santos player on Monday, stepping out of a helicopter with Pele to be greeted by thousands of fans. Robinho's arrival followed an announcement last week by Manchester City that it was sending the 26-year-old Brazilian on a six-month loan deal to Santos, where he made his breakthrough and where he hopes to revive his form after being used sparingly in England. Robinho has been a regular for the Brazil team, but is worried his lack of playing time may jeopardise his chances of making the team for the World Cup this year in South Africa.Mancini on moveITALY: Serie A leader Inter Milan has allowed experienced Brazilian striker Mancini to move on loan to city rival AC Milan with an option to buy him outright. The 29-year-old has failed to break into the Inter first team since arriving from AS Roma in the summer of 2008 and has appeared only seven times for the Italian champion this season, all as a substitute at the end of matches. Mancini, who was also courted by French giant Marseille, will join several compatriots at AC.
